Our Technology
Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett’s Imaging Center is home to the Toshiba Vantage Titan MRI. This MRI has patient-focused features to improve comfort and increase the range of patients who can be imaged with MRI. The ultra-short bore MRI provides a greater feeling of openness for the patient, and allows ample room for claustrophobic patients to feel more comfortable during exams. In addition, 70% of all procedures can be performed feet first with a patient's head comfortably lying outside of the bore. The increased diameter of the bore also allows us to accommodate larger patients. Finally, Toshiba’s patented Pianissimo technology dramatically reduces acoustic noise, the most significant cause of patient discomfort during an MRI exam.
ACR Accredited
Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as the result of a review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.
Our Technology
The Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett Imaging Center CT technology is provided by Toshiba’s Aquilion 32. In 200 milliseconds, the gantry can rotate around a patient's entire body—a fast scanning capability that can effectively reduce image distortion of moving organs, such as the heart and lungs.

Our Technology
The Toshiba Aplio MX Ultrasound provides advanced image quality in 2D applications, routine examinations and difficult-to-scan patients (i.e. obese or those with fatty livers).
Our Technology
Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett is now offering patients Genius™ 3D Mammography™ exams. Utilizing advanced breast tomosynthesis technology, Genius 3D exams are clinically proven to significantly increase the detection of breast cancers, while simultaneously decreasing the number of women asked to return for additional testing.
In conventional 2D mammography, overlapping tissue is a leading reason why small breast cancers may be missed and normal tissue may appear abnormal, leading to unnecessary callbacks. A Genius exam includes a three-dimensional method of imaging that can greatly reduce the tissue overlap effect.
Scheduling
You can schedule your mammogram by calling 901-820-7575 or to schedule online, please click here.
Women 40 years of age and older do not need a physician referral or order to schedule their annual screening mammogram. While many insurance providers are covering 3D mammograms, please check with your provider prior to your exam to see if your 3D exam is covered or if there will be an additional out-of-pocket cost.
Preparing For Your Exam
The best time to schedule your mammogram for the week following your period. This is because your period may cause your breasts to be more sensitive and tender than usual. If there’s a possibility that you are pregnant your doctor or the technologist must be informed prior to the test being conducted.
Do not wear deodorant, powder or lotion under your arms or on your breasts. They can appear on your mammogram as calcium spots.
Tell your doctor and the technologist of any breast symptoms or problems that you have been experiencing.
If you had any mammograms at other facilities, bring copies of the films with you so that the radiologist can compare the results.
You will be asked to remove all jewelry and clothing above the waist before the exam. A gown or loose fitting material that opens in the front will be provided.
