(June 22, 2005 – Bartlett, Tenn.)  Based on patient satisfaction scores for the year-to-date, Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett is the top-ranked facility in the 70-hospital Tenet Healthcare system.   In addition, Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett was awarded Tenet’s “five star” status for patient satisfaction in the month of June.  The five-star designation is the highest grade that can be achieved in Tenet’s patient satisfaction survey.
The rating is based on an independent survey of Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett patients.  The hospital is graded in several different categories, including willingness to return, nursing care, physicians, and physical environment.  Inpatients, outpatients and Emergency Care Center patients are surveyed.
“Every decision we make at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett is made with patient satisfaction as a top priority,” said Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett Chief Executive Officer David Wilson.  “Our high patient satisfaction scores are a testament to our staff and their dedication and commitment to the patients here at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett.”
The high patient satisfaction scores continue a trend established in 2004.  Last year, in Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett’s first year of operation, the hospital was ranked third in the Tenet system in patient satisfaction.
