Work continued on Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett's facility expansion during the Holidays. Progress was made on foundations for the surgery expansion building, with excavating and installation of rebar. In the tower expansion, progress has been made with the installation of under slab sanitary sewer and storm water plumbing mains. In addition, construction crews began the process of installing the new sanitary sewer system piping from the Memphis mainline to the new tower expansion.
The $34 million dollar project will result in 96 additional hospital beds for Bartlett and the surrounding area. The expansion will allow Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett to double their current total of ICU beds and surgical suites. In addition, ancillary services such as pharmacy and laboratory will be relocated and expanded. Finally, with the addition of more than 83,000 square feet, Saint Francis-Bartlett will have space available to expand service lines to serve the growing needs of the community.
