Vibrating of vibro-pier at part B tower.

As we head towards the Holidays, work continues on the Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett facility expansion.  We hope that by this time next year we'll have a target date for the opening of the new tower.

This week Hoar Construction was able to tie new telephone copper, telephone fiber optics, and complete relocation of existing utilities.  In addition, the relocation process of existing fuel lines has commenced.

The installation of vibro-piers marks the beginning of tower expansion foundation work.  Loading dock demolition and preperation for surgery department expansion is also underway.

Communications manhole and wiring completed.

The $34 million dollar project will result in 96 additional hospital beds for Bartlett and the surrounding area.  The expansion will allow Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett to double their current total of ICU beds and surgical suites.  In addition, ancillary services such as pharmacy and laboratory will be relocated and expanded.  Finally, with the addition of more than 83,000 square feet, Saint Francis-Bartlett will have space available to expand service lines to serve the growing needs of the community.
