The Leapfrog Group Safety Score

Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett has been honored with an “A” Hospital Safety ScoreSM by The Leapfrog Group, an independent, national nonprofit leader and advocate in hospital transparency. The Hospital Safety ScoreSM was calculated under the guidance of The Leapfrog Group’s Blue Ribbon Expert Panel using publicly available data on patient injuries, medical and medication errors, and infections. Hospitals are assigned an A, B, C, D, or F for their safety.

"Providing the highest quality of care in the safest possible environment is the focus of Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett,” said,” said Jeremy Clark, CEO of the hospital. “This national recognition from The Leapfrog Group is an affirmation of the commitment by our physicians and staff to excellence in patient care.”

With its goal of saving lives by reducing injuries, accidents and preventable medical and medication errors, The Leapfrog Group focuses on measuring and publicly reporting hospital performance through the annual Leapfrog Hospital Survey.  The survey is a trusted, transparent, and evidence-based national tool in which more than 1,100 hospitals voluntarily participate.

“Hospitals that earn an “A” have demonstrated their commitment to patients and their community,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “We congratulate Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett for its safety excellence and look forward to the day when all hospitals will match this standard.”
