(January 15, 2007 – Bartlett, Tenn.) Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett employees completed their annual United Way campaign by collecting donations and pledges of more than $21,000. This total represents the hospital’s highest level of giving in the three years that Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett has participated in the United Way campaign. The campaign total was boosted by a contribution of $2,700 from the Tenet Healthcare Foundation. Endowed by Tenet Healthcare, the parent company of Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett, the foundation offers grants to assist non-profit organizations in communities served by Tenet Healthcare hospitals. The United Way of the Mid-South represents organizations in eight different counties in the states of Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee. The donation by Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett will help address various health and human service needs throughout this area. The United Way of the Mid-South has a goal of $26 million in their current campaign. “I am so proud of our employees,” said Kem Mullins, Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett CEO. “Their compassion goes beyond their daily work here in the hospital. The generous contribution by the employees of Saint Francis-Bartlett shows that are also committed to enhancing the well-being of this community.”
