Saint Francis-Bartlett recently added a new Internet-based communications system, CarePages, as a free service for their patients. With this service, patients and their families can have personalized web pages that update relatives and friends, helping ease the typical communication strain while also providing opportunities for patients to recover. This system will also make it possible for relatives and friends to send messages of encouragement, giving patients and families emotional support.

This new system can help give patients and their families greater control over the flow of information during and after hospitalization, since they can share updates at a time that is right for them. Relatives and friends call less often because they are automatically notified via e-mail whenever CarePages are updated with information regarding the patient’s stay.
Saint Francis-Bartlett’s CarePages are provided for as long as patients and families require. CarePages are password-protected, secure, and comply with all patient privacy regulations. Over 450 healthcare facilities in North America now offer CarePages with several new hospitals adding the service each month.
