Bartlett, Tenn- February 22, 2006- Tenet Healthcare announced today that Kem M. Mullins has been named chief executive officer for Saint Francis-Bartlett Hospital, effective March 20, 2006. Mullins will oversee all strategic, operational and clinical activities at the hospital.
Mullins was promoted to his new position after serving for three years as chief operating officer at Tenet’s Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Ga. There, he was responsible for operations oversight of the 460-bed tertiary care facility.

"During his tenure at Atlanta Medical Center he was honored as one of Tenet’s 2005 Circle of Excellence winners for quality, financial and service performance. He has been instrumental in several major expansion projects for Atlanta Medical Center. Kem is dedicated to providing high quality health care that exceeds customer expectations. As customer service champion for Atlanta Medical Center, he led the hospital to achieving four-star status for customer satisfaction."

Prior to joining Atlanta Medical Center, Mullins served as chief operating officer at Regional Medical Center of Northeast Arkansas in Jonesboro, Ark. Before that he served three years as associate administrator of University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tenn. He also was associate administrator of Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson, W.Va.
Mullins, 33, holds a master’s degree in finance from Morehead State University in Morehead, Ky., and a bachelor’s degree in health care management from Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va. |
